I'll be visiting Newcastle next month and was wondering if you had any information on self-guided walking tours of sites of Bethany significance. Thanks!

Oh yes indeed!
Major sites of interest in the CBD:
Commemorative plaque erected to the Artist: Auckland St, situated next to Watt Space, the gallery where Bethany staged her first exhibition & reigned as president in 2004.
Goldbergs coffee shop: Darby St, the artist spent half of her Newcastle life here. Spark up a conversation with a stranger, she probably knows and has shared intimate details with them! Order a soy flat white and Bread of the Day for the real Bethany J Fellows experience.
Jump off the Brewery pier! Swim at Bar Beach! Drink a rusty nail at the Lass O'Gowrie Hotel in Wickham.
Bethany herself will be in Newcastle late September early October, you might even catch a glimpse!
